YOUR WORK, CONNECTED

A little help with your next step.

Start with a business profile. Add a client and the work you offer. Your first proposal brings them together.

Your first proposal

  1. Create your workspace with Google, then add your business name and details.
  2. Follow the two-step setup: add your business, then your first client and service. Start blank or choose the launch-film outline with editable sample rates.
  3. Preview your first proposal. Use Proposal setup to review descriptions, timing, revisions, payment arrangements, and terms. For later proposals, reuse the saved profiles and services from your dashboard.
  4. Save and preview the proposal. Use Copy client link to publish a shared copy.
  5. Your client opens the link to review, ask questions, choose an offered plan, or respond to the scope.

Bring existing work with you

A cloud account and a browser-only workspace are separate until you choose to import. In a signed-in workspace, Import browser workspace merges saved work from that same website's browser storage. Import backup accepts an InCents workspace backup from another device or website address.

Business profiles and proposal copies keep their own data. Import does not silently replace an existing account's rates or assign browser work to a person who signs in.

Understand payment status

A client reporting a payment is different from the freelancer receiving it. Check your PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or other payment account before confirming receipt. A reported amount does not reduce the confirmed outstanding balance until you confirm it.

Sharing, messages, and access

Clients use bearer links: anyone with the link can read its shared proposal and post under a self-entered client name. These names are not verified identities. Share the link privately with the intended client.

Freelancer read status syncs with the account. A client's unread status stays in their browser. Draft messages survive refresh in the same browser session. Email notifications are not currently sent for new messages.
