THE INCENTS RESOURCE LIBRARY

A video editing proposal that explains the actual work.

Give the client a clear picture of what they will receive, what you need from them, and how review and delivery will happen.

Start with the edit, not the job title.

“Video editing” can mean a rough cut from a short interview or a campaign with dozens of source clips, graphics, captions, and multiple formats. Write the deliverables so both sides can recognize when the work is complete.

For example: one 8–12 minute long-form edit from client-supplied footage, four vertical cutdowns up to 45 seconds, basic audio cleanup, a color pass, and burned-in captions on the cutdowns. State the source-footage allowance and required export formats. These are example scope details, not recommended rates or a standard package.

Describe how review will work.

Define a review round as one consolidated set of feedback from the client's nominated contact. State how many rounds the price includes and how changes outside the agreed scope will be quoted. A new creative direction after an approved cut should not be left to assumption.

Connect timing to inputs you can observe: footage and brief received, first cut shared, consolidated feedback received, final export delivered. Add dates or turnaround commitments only after checking your capacity. Decide where detailed video review happens; InCents can link an external review tool and keep general questions on the proposal.

Make the payment checkpoints understandable.

Specify the agreed price, when each amount is due, and what event triggers the next payment. A deposit and a final payment can be tied to clearly named stages. Leave taxes, usage rights, and legal terms to the agreement appropriate for the engagement.

With direct payment links, a client can report payment while the freelancer confirms receipt after checking the provider. A report is not bank confirmation. Payment holds and transfer times depend on the chosen provider.

In InCents, save editing services and your chosen rates in the service library. Bring them into a proposal, adjust the quantities and cadence for this client, then publish a link. Keep questions in Messages and add the final delivery or review link when it is ready.
